Built by Fincantieri in Italy, at Marghera near Venice, between 2022 and 2025, the Prima class is Norwegian Cruise Line's newest platform, its four ships measuring between 143,535 and 156,300 GT. After years of ever-larger ships, the design deliberately reversed course: fewer guests than the preceding Breakaway Plus class, a higher space ratio, and far more of the ship given over to the outdoors. The signature feature is the Ocean Boulevard, a wraparound promenade taking dining, bars and infinity pools down to the waterline, while inside, the Indulge Food Hall replaced the traditional buffet with a market of small kitchens. Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna enlarged the design further, as the Prima Plus variant.
