The Vision class is Royal Caribbean's mid-1990s family of glass-walled ships, built between 1995 and 1997 and ranging from 69,472 to 82,910 GT. Construction was split between Kvaerner Masa-Yards at its Hietalahti yard in Helsinki and Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire, and the class actually comprises three pairs of near-sisters rather than one identical design, which explains the wide tonnage spread — Enchantment of the Seas was also later lengthened. The unifying idea was light: extensive glazing, a soaring atrium and views to the sea throughout. Four ships still sail for Royal Caribbean International, while Marella Discovery sails for Marella Cruises, giving the class a second life in the British market.
