Margaritaville at Sea

Margaritaville at Sea is a young American cruise brand built around Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, the tropical restaurant, resort and lifestyle empire that grew from his 1977 song of that name. The line was created in December 2021, when Margaritaville partnered with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line to rebrand that operator and its remaining ship. That vessel, formerly Grand Classica and originally a Costa Cruises ship, was refitted, repainted in a bright tropical livery and renamed Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, entering service under the new brand in the spring of 2022. The formula set the template for everything that followed: take a well-kept secondhand ship, rebuild its bars, restaurants and public rooms around the Margaritaville theme, and market the result as an offshore resort rather than a conventional cruise. The later ships in this directory follow the same recipe at increasing scale. Margaritaville at Sea Islander, launched in 2000, is a Spirit-class ship acquired from Costa Cruises, while Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, launched in 2003, is a larger Fortuna-class hull, the biggest of the three at 102,669 GT.
