Oceania Cruises

Oceania Cruises was founded in 2002 by cruise industry veterans who set out to build an upper-premium line centred on smaller ships, destination-focused cruising and an emphasis on dining that has remained its signature. It began not with newbuilds but with former Renaissance Cruises ships, and that hardware still shapes the fleet in this directory. Three of the seven ships — Insignia, Nautica and Regatta — are R-class vessels of just 30,277 GT, originally built for Renaissance Cruises; sister ships from the same class also sail for Azamara, giving the two lines a shared origin. Against them stand Oceania's purpose-built ships: Marina and Riviera at about 66,000 GT, and the newer Vista and Oceania Allura, at 67,817 GT the largest in the fleet listed here.
