T. Mariotti

T. Mariotti of Genoa, Italy, is the small luxury-ship specialist of this directory: just six Phase 1 ships, none of them large, all of them at the top of the market. Mariotti's craft tradition comes from bespoke, yacht-like construction — hulls have typically been built at San Giorgio di Nogaro and towed to Genoa for meticulous outfitting — and cruise lines use it when a ship must feel hand-made. Its best-known work is for Seabourn: the Odyssey-class ships represented here by Seabourn Quest and by Mitsui Ocean Sakura, built as Seabourn Sojourn, and the Polar Class 6 expedition pair Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, complete with submarines and a fleet of Zodiacs. The list also holds Regent's Seven Seas Voyager, the largest ship here, and Silversea's Silver Cloud, later converted for expedition cruising — small numbers, deliberately.
