Musica-class

Built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique and STX at Saint-Nazaire, France, between 2005 and 2009, the four Musica-class ships measure between 92,409 and 92,627 GT. The class was MSC Cruises' step up from its first Lirica-class newbuilds: noticeably larger, with more balcony cabins, bigger pool decks and room for the line's growing list of restaurants, bars and lounges. Music is the organising theme throughout — the lead ship is MSC Musica, her sisters are named for an orchestra, a poem and a magnificent performance, and the public rooms carry the theme in their names and décor. Three-deck waterfalls in the atrium and a panoramic disco set high aft became class signatures.
