Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is the sea-going extension of The Ritz-Carlton hotel brand, part of Marriott International. Announced in 2017, it was conceived not as a conventional cruise line but as a fleet of superyachts, applying the service standards of a luxury hotel to small, residential-style ships in which every cabin is a suite with its own terrace. Construction delays and the pandemic pushed the debut back several years, and the first yacht, Evrima, entered service in October 2022, carrying fewer than 300 guests. Her name, Greek for discovery, set the naming pattern for the fleet. The two yachts that followed are considerably larger developments of the same idea, built in France by Chantiers de l'Atlantique. Ilma, launched in 2024 at 46,750 GT, and Luminara, launched in 2025 at the same tonnage, each carry half as many guests again as Evrima, with correspondingly more space for dining, wellness and open deck. Together the three ships in this directory record a hotel company learning, hull by hull, how to be a cruise operator without ceasing to think like a yachtsman.
