The Concordia class was built by Fincantieri in Italy for Costa Cruises between 2006 and 2011, the four surviving ships measuring between 113,216 and 114,500 GT. The design enlarged the proven Conquest-class platform for the Italian market, adding Costa signatures such as the two-deck Samsara Spa — among the largest wellness centres at sea when the class appeared — pools with retractable roofs, and interiors themed ship by ship, from classical music to mythology. The class takes its name from its lead ship, Costa Concordia, which was lost off the island of Giglio in 2012 and is therefore not listed here; the four ships below are her surviving sisters.
