Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages is the youngest line in this directory. It was announced in December 2014 as Virgin Cruises, a joint venture between the Virgin Group and Bain Capital, renamed Virgin Voyages in 2016, and built its fleet from scratch to a single design rather than acquiring existing ships. Its concept broke with cruise convention from the start: adults-only sailing, no main buffet or formal main dining room in the traditional sense, and a design language drawn from boutique hotels and superyachts rather than ocean liners. The four ships listed here are identical sisters of the Lady class — Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady — each 108,232 GT and launched between 2019 and 2024. That uniformity is itself the point: one ship design, repeated, carrying the whole brand.
